The Bachelor: “Week 5: New Orleans” Recap
The episode begins exactly where it left off: at the cocktail party with Corinne and Taylor arguing with each other. The only difference is: Corinne has now flipped the script on Taylor and tells her that the other woman don’t like her and don’t think she is there for the right reasons. Feeling like the conversation is done, Corinne gets up and immediately goes to Nick to tell him about her conversation with Taylor. She tells him that “a lot of the girls feel weird about Taylor.” Corinne also tells Nick that she doesn’t think Taylor is there for the right reasons.
During the rose ceremony Taylor received the final rose which sent Astrid (wait who?) and Sarah (she is perfect & way to good for this show anyway) home. After they leave, Nick tells the group they are headed to … New Orleans!
Once in New Orleans, Chris Harrison let’s the women know that the week there will be a 1-on-1, a group date and a 2-on-1.
First up is the 1-on-1 date and Nick choose Rachel to venture around New Orleans with. They have a super casual date. They dance, they eat and they talk about family. Rachel gets the date rose. It’s literally a perfect date. The date ends and Rachel says, “I don’t believe in fairytales but I believe in today. And today was a fairytale.”
Next up is the group date. Nick takes the women to ‘The Mortuary House’ which is considered to be the most haunted house in New Orleans. The house is haunted by Mae, the little girl who is looking for her doll. Some of the woman, like Danielle L. and Vanessa believe in ghosts/spirits and think they should be respected. The group plays with a Ouija board and explore the house. Raven let it slip to Nick that she “fell in love with him when he sang The Little Mermaid” on their date the week before. But despite that Danielle M. received the group date rose.
Finally it’s time for the 2-on1 date with Corinne and Taylor. Nick takes them out to the bayou. Nick had a surprise in the bayou: he brought them to a voodoo priestess to do tarot card reading. While Taylor is having her cards read to her Corinne takes that time to tell Nick all about how Taylor doesn’t deserve to be there, that she’s a bully, called her stupid etc. While Corinne is having her cards read Nick asks Taylor about what Corinne has said. Taylor tells Nick how she literally had to explain what “emotional intelligence” ment to Corinne. Taylor also tells Nick that she ultimately doesn’t see Nick and Corinne together. Nick gave the 2-on-1 date rose to Corinne, which means that Taylor is heading home… or is she?
It looks like next week Taylor confronts Nick. It also looks like Nick has a minor break-down.
I’ve never wanted a Monday to come faster!
