Newbie to the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” franchise, Margaret Josephs, made her debut on the premiere of “RHONJ” Wednesday night. Apparently, Teresa Giudice is no longer the only criminal on the show.
According to court documents, the business Margaret owns and is the founder of, MacBeth Collection, has a past of stealing “products, logos and ideas from other companies”. She then turns around and calls them her own. Her company is described as a “global lifestyle brand”. It is a bad combination of online clothing and accessories. Margaret has been caught on multiple occasions “stealing copyrighted/trademarked property” and then trying to put them under her name.
MacBeth Collection, LLC has had multiple lawsuits filed against them for violating copyright/trademark law. “MacBeth was ordered to pay $300k to Vineyard Vines for trademark infringement after Vinyard Vine’s logo was lifted” and put on MacBeth’s products.
Her company was also made to stop sales of a lap desk that she had copied its patented design. Margaret’s company was also accused of making knockoff handbags. If that wasn’t bad enough, she had those handbags made in Chinese sweatshops.
Margaret has said, “An idea is anything you come up with. The great way to come up with an idea is to have a new product, that nothing is like that on the market. If there’s an existing product on the market, improve upon it…If there’s a product on the market and you can’t improve upon it, make it cheaper than everyone else does”.
I wonder who she swiped those blonde pigtails from? Should “RHONJ” be renamed to “Real Housewives of White Collar Crime”? What are your initial thoughts on Margaret Josephs?
