Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida Divorce Finalized, For Real This Time!

Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida Divorce Finalized, For Real This Time!

It seems that the ink is finally dried on the Parks v Nida divorce. At least, it is according to former RHOA star Phaedra Parks, 43. Granted we’ve heard this all before, but it seems that this time she is telling the truth. The first divorce grant was overturned because of a clerical error-Apollo’s name was misspelled; and, the original decree also gave Apollo was given the impression he would be attending the divorce hearings from prison, nor was Apollo informed of the final hearing or served with documents notifying him the divorce had been finalized.
Parks says that she has been awarded physical custody of the couple’s sons, 6-year-old Ayden and 3-year-old Dylan. While no one should expect the Atlanta, GA lawyer to be running up and down I-90 to take the boys to see their father, the boys will enjoy a relationship with Apollo. It’s been ordered that Nida and the boys will be able to speak to each other weekly.

“They talk to Apollo… They have a relationship with their dad, so we don’t have conversations,” Parks told The Daily Dish. “They speak to him themselves very regularly.” When asked about Apollo’s impending marriage Parks simply replied, “I wish him all the best.”

Phaedra refers to the African adage, “it takes a village” when it comes to male influence for the boys during their father’s absence. Apollo is not there for the day-to-day but there are relatives, male and female, to help Phaedra out. “I’ve got two awesome parents who step in all the time. They’ve got uncles that come around all the time. My ex-husband’s parents are very helpful as well. So we spend time with them,” she said. “So it’s a blessing to have good friends who will come in and play a part in their lives as male role models. They just make it a part of their routine to come and help me out so that I can do stuff like travel, get my nails done, and keep myself beautiful.”

Apollo Nida, 38, is still incarcerated for fraud and identity theft, serving out his eight-year sentence Fort Dix, New Jersey.
