Former Hell’s Kitchen chef contestant Paulie Giganti was found dead in his Philadelphia, PA home. An official with the medical examiners told Radar Online that the time of death was 8:55 AM, Thursday, April 20, 2017; but, he said that it was too soon to release a cause of death. And while police were on the scene, there is no word on whether Giganti’s death was from natural causes or trauma.
Giganti competed on Season 16 of Fox’s Hell’s Kitchen, up for grabs was a head chef position at Gordon Ramsey’s Yardbird Southern Table & Bar at the Venetian in Las Vegas. He wasn’t a trained chef, but was self-taught. He learned how to cook while working in restaurants while in college, studying to be an engineer. Paulie had a huge ego and actually made it to the top 5, finishing in fourth place.
Giganti was working as executive chef at Birra, a restaurant in Philadelphia at the time of his death.
