Aaron Carter was arrested on Saturday night for DUI and marijuana possession and missed a scheduled show. Aaron was not feeling Nick’s words and explained on social media that “If my own blood truly cared about my well-being, why wouldn’t he call me directly and have a conversation instead of making this about him through a very public forum?” and added “That’s not cool at all to use me for his PR and kick me while I am down. I love my family despite it through thick and thin.”

Aaron also tweeted to his fans “Thank you ALL for your prayers & well wishes. I am so sorry to all my fans that I missed. The truth will come out! An official statement was released on Aaron’s behalf stating that “He feels his ‘celebrity’ was targeted and an attorney will be retained in this matter,” and that “The video from Auto Zone will prove that Aaron was not in a moving vehicle while arrested and charged with a DUI.”

Aaron’s version of the nights events stated that he and his girlfriend stopped at an Auto Zone store to repair a tire that was out of alignment when law enforcement officers arrested him “with aggression.” Aaron’s girlfriend Madison Parker was also arrested and charged. Both spent Saturday night in jail and as of Sunday were still incarcerated. Aaron claims that he was targeted because of his celebrity status.

In 2011 Aaron checked himself into rehab in California “to heal some emotional and spiritual issues he was dealing with,” his manager at the time stated. The mugshot that the Habersham County Sheriff’s office released shows 29-year-old Aaron Carter looking older than his age. Hopefully, Aaron can get the help that he needs to continue and the family support that is needed to get his life back on track.
