Leah Remini’s Final Episode of “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath”
Leah Remini’s final episode of “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” aired on Tuesday evening and there is nothing written in stone that another season of the documentary series will have a second season. Regardless, Leah is adamant that she will not stop trying to expose the Church of Scientology and their falsehoods that she feels are taking advantage of private citizens and ruining not only their lives but the lives of their families.
The Church of Scientology calls the series “dramatized work of fiction,” and are hoping that Leah just goes away. Leah refuses to quit and hopes that “By the IRS saying this is a religious organization, they are hiding behind now freedom of religion and they should take a look,” she said. “I’m hoping there’s someone with some balls who will do something about it.” An attorney for the church says that Church of Scientology “is not concerned at all that that’s a real possibility. That’s certainly not something that Leah Remini could ever pull off. There’s no basis at all under which the IRS would attempt to revoke the exempt status.”
As they say, never say never. The docu-series has been a success and Leah Remini is hoping that other entities get involved and says “That somebody is willing to be honest and say, ‘What these people are saying is true and I’m ready to prosecute,'” she recently said on ABC’s 20/20. “We need that person.”
