At the end of season one, Leah had received cease and desist court documents. The Church of Scientology was suing Leah to get her to stop her TV series. She and her crew were (I will assume and are still) being followed everywhere. The truths she has uncovered so far are not only heartbreaking but also rock the core of Scientology.
She has been renewed for a second season for her show Scientology and the Aftermath. Many of the people she has on have been so damaged by what happened to them while inside the walls of Scientology, you can tell it’s hard for them to talk about it. While taking Psychology classes, I did learn it is always better to talk about the bad secrets then they have no power over you anymore. The shame doesn’t win. As a person who has always been interested in the mental well-being of a person, I am very proud of every person who has spoken out. They are not allowing this to continue to take hold of their lives.
I wish Leah well in her endeavors to break the silence. It is a very intense and interesting tv show. It also makes me hopefully that she is bringing light to a topic that needed it.
That’s just my take!
