It looks like the Jenner clan is doing what they do best, offending people. Not too long ago was a Pepsi commercial, now they have moved on to t-shirts. Apparently, Kendall and Kylie thought it would be a good idea to use vintage t-shirt designs (without permission to use) and impose their faces on the shirts. We’re talking vintage shirts featuring Ozzy Osbourne, Pink Floyd, The Doors, Tupac, Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie)…you get the idea.
So what do Kendall and Kylie have to say for themselves? The only thing they can come up with is they did not think it through. Specifically, Kendall said on her Twitter, “These designs were not well thought out and we deeply apologize to anyone that has been upset and/or offended, especially to the families of the artists. We are huge fans of their music and it was not our intention to disrespect these cultural icons in anyway. The tee shirts have been pulled from retail and all images have been removed. We will use this as an opportunity to learn from these mistakes and again, we are very sorry”. Really? Are you very sorry? I have a sneaking suspicion Kendall and Kylie are only sorry they were caught. They were hoping to ask forgiveness after the fact, instead of handling things the legal way and asking for permission first.
With as much money as Kendall and Kylie have, they can pay someone to think for them since it seems they either can’t be bothered with thinking or they are unable to rub their brain cells together to get a thought out. Maybe the botox went in too far 😉
Voletta Wallace, the mother of Notorious B.I.G., has said Kendall and Kylie exploited her son’s image. Biggie’s estate has also sent the duo a cease and desist order. Ms. Wallace took to her Instagram account and said, “I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me. I have no idea why they fell they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!”. Ms. Wallace was not the only family member of the artists on the t-shirts. Sharon Osbourne has also taken to her Twitter to let Kendall and Kylie know exactly how she feels, “Girls, you haven’t earned the right to put your face with musical icons. Stick to what you know…lip gloss”.
Do you feel as though Kendall and Kylie’s apology was sincere? Or do you think they are only apologizing for a half-a$$ed attempt to save face? Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
