To say Dance Mom’s former star, Abby Lee Miller is a little ticked off is an understatement. She had plenty to say in a rant to ET, about her former employer or her replacement either.
When it was announced that Cheryl Burke, formerly of ABC’s ‘Dancing With the Stars’ had been tapped Ms. Miller, wasn’t the least hesitant to share her feelings at being replaced.
Miller, 51, says that while Cheryl is a very nice person, she doesn’t give her long to be just as frustrated as Miller is with Dance Moms producers. She told Entertainment Tonight, “Wait until Cheryl Burke deals with [no costume budget].” Adding that at ‘DWTS’, they have multiple floors with seamstresses whose only job is to sew the costumes for the dancers each week. Miller says that many a night she had to drive to Santee Alley to pick up her own wardrobe for the show. Miller told ET that she believes production will treat Burke better than they did her…at least at first. She believes that she will also get a bigger budget.
Miller decided to quit the show after seven years and made the announcement on her Instagram account this past Sunday. She is facing up to 2-1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to hiding assets in her Chapter 11 bankruptcy case. For that she was accused of trying to hide $775,000 and did not report $120,000 in foreign currency, brought into the US illegally. Abby will be featured in the final episode of the season.
In the meantime, when Cheryl showed up at the LA studio to begin work with her young Charges, the mom’s and production were elated. Everyone seems terribly happy with the Dance Mom’s replacement.
