Last Monday evening, the 3rd new episode of “Counting On” featured a very special addition to the Duggar family – which was appropriately titled “A New Baby,” and, of course, everyone was focused on the cute little dude.
And, we are pretty sure you already knew about that little tidbit.
As we all know, this was the reality TV show’s 3rd Episode of Season 3 – from the family who also stars in the highly popular series, “Counting On” and, well, you know the drill – everyone was trying to figure out if Jinger is actually pregnant….however, it appears that she is not. At least, not yet anyway.
For those of you who prefer to view “Counting On” via the web and haven’t yet seen last week’s show, be prepared for a treat – as fans were able to see Jessa, (who was pregnant), before the Season premiere, welcoming baby Duggar, Jessa and Ben’s 2nd child into their already huge family.
We are more than delighted to let y’all know that Jessa’s delivery was so much easier than when she gave birth to “Spurgeon,” her 1st baby, who came into this world over a year ago.
We’re talking close to 250% easier than her 1st childbirth and that’s huge.
Compared to Jessa’s delivery of little “Spurge,” which took approximately 2 full days and also required a very important transfusion of blood due to the ordeal that she went through – her 2nd child, also Spurgeon’s baby brother was delivered rather quickly – by that, we mean Jessa was in labor for about 5 total hours, which is considered a very smooth delivery.
Jana, who is Jessa’s older female sibling, said that she felt it was a “perfect birth.” (Not quite Jana, that’s what happened when you were born into our family, simply because, as we all know, you are perfect.)
“It couldn’t have gone any better,” Jana said after Jessa, just like when she had Spurgeon, opted for a home birth – at least at the start.
“We’ll begin labor at home and see what happens,” as Jessa stated earlier, and before she knew it, Jessa’s water had broken, and, during that time, Ben, her hubby stated:
“At that moment, everything changed.”
Sure did! And, by making that statement, as many new dads sometimes say after their wife or partner gives birth, yes indeed and what a happy occasion.
At approximately 3:30 in the morning, which was about 4.5 hours after the baby was born, their lives changed forever, Michelle, Jessa (Duggar) Seewald’s mom, rushed to her daughter’s side, and brought Jana with her, to the house where Jessa and Ben live, to help take care of her brand new grandson, along with making sure that Jessa was ok.
As we all know, Jill and her husband, Derick were living abroad, doing their missionary work in El Salvador, but they flew home just in time to join in on the birthday celebration for Spurgeon and, of course, to be there for her sister Jessa.
“When we came over, it sounded like she was going to give birth soon,” as Jill stated. “I was like, ‘I hope my mom and Jana make it!’”
Not to worry Jill – the entire Duggar family were there by the time she and Derick arrived.
As any mother who has ever given birth is well aware, those terrible contractions, when a woman is about to give birth, can be excruciating, and, of course it was painful for Jessa as well. Luckily, her delivery was pretty easy and was done in a timely manner – with barely any problems at all, just the agony of delivering a baby, but as far as the happy parents are concerned, it was basically stress-free and what more could any parent ask for, especially in such an intense moment.
Of course, once baby “Henry Wilberforce” came into the world, Jessa’s recollection of the entire ordeal is somewhat of a blur in her mind. All she can remember, is being taken aback by how fast the delivery went and giving birth to a healthy baby boy, which is her new pride and joy.
“I was relieved, I couldn’t believe it.”
Ben, Jessa’s hubby, gently whispered in her ear, “You did it, babe!”
“Ben was crying too,” as Jessa said, especially when she remembered watching her hubby, as he became very emotional and started to break down sobbing. “You look at that little miracle in your arms.”
“There’s nothing like it.”
Wow! How wonderful last week’s episode was, filled with so much love and emotion. Congrats to Jessa and Ben.
