Big Brother alum Natalie Negrotti has had a pretty rough couple months, it all seemed to start with her breakup with James Huling. Although that topic of discussion has seemed to die down, Natalie has had a hard time staying out of the spotlight – and for all the wrong reasons. The former reality TV star took to YouTube to address an issue that is important to her.
Natalie claims that she had been a victim of cyberbullying. She thinks that social media users have lied about her. Many users have also repeatedly called her fake. In the video she added that it has caused her emotional distress. She wanted to go on record to say that if any of her followers ever cyberbully, she will block them immediately.
In the video Natalie claims that some social media users and writers have bullied her and “made up lies” about her, all to discredit her. She points out that there are people that commit suicide over cyberbullying. She reassures everyone that she never thought about doing that because she has an extensive support system, but she now gets how that could be an option for someone that has no one in their corner.
Although we can’t be 100% sure, the video seems to reference a charity donation scandal that Natalie wasn’t completely honest about. There was a rumor circulating Twitter that she only donated $40 of the $200 she raised. From there, it got pretty ugly between Natalie and Big Brother fans. She claims that she gives to charity because it makes her feel good and isn’t doing it to make any sort of profit.
In the video, Natalie explained that all she wants is to live a positive life and doesn’t have “room in her life” for negative people. She repeated that if any of her followers personally cyberbullies anyone, she will immediately block them. Natalie implied that those who are on a “witch hunt” against her are miserable, unhappy people.
Natalie said that she intends to do what makes her happy: her charity work, making her choker necklaces, working out, and spending time with her family.
Natalie never really goes into details about what the “lies” were about her or offered any proof that those on social media were lying about her.
Since making the video, Natalie made her Twitter and Instagram private in hopes it would fend off some of the cyberbullying/attacks on her character.
The ironic thing is, Natalie goes out of her way to like tweets that say things like “I HATE James.” Isn’t that a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black?
Do you think Natalie was a victim of cyberbullying on social media?
