First and foremost, let me just preface this by saying I think we’ve all been waiting on pins and needles for the 24th…yes that’s right, the 24th season of ABC’s wildly anticipated and highly celebrated “Dancing With The Stars” Celebrity Cast List. Just think, we are one year shy of being a quarter of a century since Tom Bergeron and a multitude of celebrated stars have graced our hearts every Monday night with the most memorable dance routines. Can this season’s celebs be any more amazing than last years? The answer to that is simply…yes. So, let’s get right to it shall we. This seasons cast list!
To go from being one of the worlds most recognized Olympic figure skaters and the tragedy that befell her from a crushing, scandalous knee injury, Nancy Kerrigan will be showing us what years of training have brought to her. Those long legs and sleek glides can assure the audience all eyes will be upon her first dance.
Simone Biles is the youngest competitor who dazzled audience members during her competition in the Rio de Janiero 2016 Summer Olympics. Raised by her grandparents because of her mother’s chronic substance abuse issues, Simone won five Gold Medals and one must wonder will her floor and vault routines fair well on the dance floor? She’s used to years and years of dedication, practice and arduous workouts.
What’s a gold medalist without a gold-laced man of stature and power to compete against? We have none other than an original member of “The A Team”, Mr. T himself. His role as Clubber Lang in the film Rocky III was legendary. Let’s see what we can expect from this multi-talented athlete and actor.
One 30-year old beauty who may have a competitive edge for her dancing abilities is none other than Glee actress Heather Elizabeth Morris. She is a talented singer, dancer and model who perfected the role as Brittany S. Pierce in the comedy-drama series.
Bravo always seems to slip in a housewife here and there every few years and fans will be delighted when Beverly Hills mega-wealthy, glamour girl, Erika Girardi and her squad of paid professional groupies shows us what she’s got. After nine top ten videos and her latest hit, X$$pensive has hit the charts, she’s sure to grab our attention with her sultry and seductive prowess.
Talk about buxom bombshells, who can forget growing up with the Coochie-Coochie girl herself, Charo. This Spanish firecracker has made fans laugh for decades with her jabbing hip checks, plunging, busty costumes and thick accent that she plays to the audience with, oh so well.
Hubba, hubba did someone call for a sexy, handsome, six foot-two inch, Milwaukee Wisconsin Bachelor alumni? Enter 37-year old Nick Viall. He’s persistent if he’s anything as this three-time legend of ABC’s hottest show wants to give the dance floor a chance. He’s giving up his fair share of dazzling getaways and romantic champagne filled days and nights for the confines of a parquet dance floor.
Who remembers those ridiculously funny Saturday Night Live skits with the disco dancing, gold lament short-shorts from Chris Kattan as Mango? The elusive character that captivated straight men and lured them to his lair was one of the most popular 90’s creations. He’s been in films and commercials for years since making it big on NBC’s SNL.
Rashad Andre Jennings, 31-is an NFL running back who was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2009 draft and is currently a free agent. This 6’ 1”, 231 pound Virginia native has also played for the Raiders and the Giants. Expect big things…and we mean big things from Rashad.
Is there a heart throb in the house? Indeed, there is with 20-year old Fifth Harmony singer Normani Kordei. She is from Atlanta and before deciding to compete in “The X-Factor” was also a pageant beauty as Miss Texas. Making it to the finals, she has been singing since she was four years old. Will we see Simon Cowell in the audience cheering her on? Anything is possible.
Dedication, endurance and feats of strength are just a few of the qualities to describe professional bull rider, Bonner Bolton. Literally the most dangerous eight seconds of any athlete’s life can be summed up on top of a two-ton male bull who is not having a good day. Many expect great things from this cowboy.
David Wade Ross (born March 19, 1977) is an American former professional baseball catcher in Major League Baseball (MLB). Ross played college baseball for Auburn University and the University of Florida, and participated in two College World Series. He started his major league career playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2002, and has also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, and Chicago Cubs. Ross won the World Series with the Boston Red Sox in 2013 and the Chicago Cubs in 2016.
Dancing With The Stars which pairs athletes, actors, singers and housewives with professional dancers will premiere on ABC on March 20 at 8 p.m. ET. See you there!
